 In the 1993-94 NBA season, Hakeem Olajuwon continued his dominance from the previous year and helped lead the Houston Rockets to another championship. The Rockets finished the regular season with a 58-24 record, good for first place in the Midwest Division.

He averaged 31.8 points, 11.8 rebounds, 3.3 assists, and 4.3 blocks per game while shooting an incredible 62.3% from the field. In Game 6 of the series, Olajuwon scored 41 points, including 20 points in the fourth quarter, to lead the Rockets to a series-clinching victory.

 In the Western Conference Finals against the Utah Jazz, Olajuwon faced off against fellow All-Star center, Karl Malone. Olajuwon dominated the series, averaging 25.5 points, 11.0 rebounds, and 4.0 blocks per game. In Game 5, Olajuwon scored 39 points, including a game-winning buzzer-beater to give the Rockets a 95-93 victory and a 3-2 series lead.

 In the NBA Finals, the Rockets faced the New York Knicks. Olajuwon was again the best player on the court, and he led the Rockets to their second consecutive championship. He averaged 26.9 points, 9.1 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and 2.6 blocks per game while shooting 50.0% from the field. In Game 7, Olajuwon scored 25 points, had 10 rebounds, and blocked 3 shots to lead Houston to a 90-84 victory and the NBA championship. Olajuwon was named Finals MVP for the second consecutive year.
