 In the 2002-03 NBA season, Kevin Garnett looked to continue his success and lead the Minnesota Timberwolves to a deep playoff run. The team finished the season with a 51-31 record, good for first place in the Midwest Division.

 Garnett’s performance in the regular season was once again outstanding. He averaged 23.0 points, 13.4 rebounds, 6.0 assists, 1.4 steals, and 1.6 blocks per game while shooting 50.1% from the field. He finished second in the MVP voting, behind San Antonio Spurs forward Tim Duncan.

 Garnett was named to the All-NBA First Team for the second time in his career and the All-Defensive First Team for the fifth consecutive year. He became the first player to average at least 20 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists per game for three straight seasons.

 In the playoffs, the Timberwolves faced the Los Angeles Lakers in the first round. Garnett’s play remained top-notch, averaging 24.0 points, 15.5 rebounds, 5.0 assists, and 2.8 blocks per game in the six-game series. However, the Timberwolves lost in six games, ending their playoff run.

 Off the court, Garnett was also selected to play on the United States National Team at the 2003 FIBA Americas Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Puerto Rico, where he helped the team win the gold medal.

 In conclusion, the 2002-03 NBA season was another excellent year for Kevin Garnett, as he continued to showcase his all-around skills on both ends of the court.
